Book Launch Event: Queer & Feminist Poetry Anthology

Join the book launch of the 1st Queer & Feminist Poetry Anthology by Unwanted Words at WORM Rotterdam. This book is a compilation of texts written by selection of 50 poets and artists based in the Netherlands whose works discuss topics of feminism and the queer experience from an intersectional perspective, centering on diversity and embracing BIPOC voices.
We will also be doing a livestream for those who would want to join us virtually that day.
About the anthology
The Queer & Feminist Poetry Anthology is initiated by Unwanted Words Project, an award-winning platform for up & coming queer voices working with poetry and spoken word based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. With the support of the Gemeente Rotterdam, Pitcher Perfect 010 and WORM.
This book is intended to be a celebration of the talent and stories of our intersectional community and to sow seeds of interest, inspiration and enthusiasm about Queer and Feminist poetry. Join this night full of queer love, talent and performances!

Unwanted Words is the first platform for up & coming LGBTQ+ poets and Spoken Word artists in Rotterdam & around.
We seek to offer opportunities for queer connection and growth such as our Queer Poetry Nights series, spoken word workshops and digital content that promote and amplify queer voices from an intersectional approach. We are on a mission to provide a stage marginalised voices and create an archive of LGBTQIA+ and feminist poets, writers, spoken word artists who need to be celebrated and heard.
AGENDA FOR THE NIGHT:
19:30 - Doors open
20:00 - Event starts
20:30 - Live performance by poets
21:30 - Book launch & pop-up store
22:00 - Drinks and dancing
SAFETY REGULATIONS:
In order to enter the event you will have to wear a mask in the common areas and present proof of vaccination at the entrance (QR code) or a negative COVID test result. As well as your ticket for the event.
