On Sunday July 26th, Nowhere Bookshop in The Hague will show the two movies Bi China and Xiaodi.

Bi China explores the lives of bisexual people in China. The film brings together diverse stories of love, gender, identity, and self-discovery, while shedding light on the misunderstanding and invisibility that bisexual communities have long experienced.

Xiaodi follows the true story of a transgender girl whose family sends her to an “internet addiction school” in an attempt to change who she is. More than a story of escape, the film reveals how gender identity is shaped -and challenged- by family, institutions, violence, and intimate relationships.
